The "Close to Nature, Not Fire" event was held at Yapraklı Hazım Dağlı Nature Park by the Sports Department of Çankırı Karatekin University to teach trekking and raise environmental awareness.
The event, attended by the School of Social Sciences, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Faculty of Forestry, Çankırı Forestry Directorate, Provincial Health Directorate, Provincial Gendarmerie Command, and students, featured informative talks by faculty members from the history department. The event continued with a walk in Hazım Dağlı Nature Park, where personnel from the Provincial Health Directorate provided information about ticks, while personnel from the Provincial Directorate of National Parks provided information about protected species.
The event concluded with the cleanup of trash around the pond within the park, aiming to raise environmental awareness, protect natural resources, combat climate change, and promote the preservation and exemplification of biological diversity.
